Voices Takes on NYC with CDMN Soft Landing Program

London, ON | March 17, 2015

Voices has been accepted into the Canadian Digital Media Network’s (CDMN) Outbound Soft Landing program.

The globally-recognized freelancer marketplace will be part of the winter 2015 cohort to help forge the partnerships and connections it needs for international expansion. The program runs three times a year and selected companies must meet a range of criteria, including having a technology product or service that is market-ready with global potential.

With a team currently in New York City as one of only six Canadian tech companies that have been accepted into the Canadian Technology Accelerator’s 2015 Digital Technology program, Voices met every requirement to be a participant. The London, Ontario-based tech company has won various awards, is home to over 125,000 voice-over talent members, all over the world, and serves more than 125,000 business clients that span the spectrum from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Voices has also expanded its Canadian workforce and translated its online service into Latin American Spanish, with more on the way.

“The CDMN Soft Landing Program means that we are able to work on important deals abroad,” says Voices CEO and Co-Founder, David Ciccarelli. “We are honoured to be accepted into this season’s cohort, particularly because of its focus on digital media. This will help us to maintain the momentum we’ve already experienced in the New York market.”

CDMN’s Soft Landing program helps mature startups and SMEs like Voices kick-start their international growth by helping them access a foreign market. For a period of up to three months, accepted companies can take up residence in a partnered facility that provides the regional support required to help grow its business, as well as receiving some financial support for assistance with travel.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to work with David Ciccarelli and the team at Voices during their CDMN Soft Landing in New York City,” says Lisa Cashmore, CDMN’s Manager of the program. “This is the company’s second time participating in the program and I know from past experiences, they are a pleasure to work with and will accomplish all of their goals. The CDMN Soft Landing program was developed to support Canadian technology companies grow their companies internationally to secure new revenue or investment.”
