100,000th Job Posted to Voices in its 10th Year of Business

London, ON | March 07, 2014

Voices, the industry-leading marketplace for voice over work, has had the 100,000th job posted to the site.

Celebrating a decade of business, Voices has become one of the most prolific web producers of voice over recordings in the world, as well as one of the fastest growing companies in Canada.

Founded in 2004 by the husband and wife duo of David and Stephanie Ciccarelli, London, Ontario-based Voices revolutionized a 100-year-old industry by streamlining the process involved in producing and acquiring voice over work for projects. With roots in audio recording technology, music and song, Voices quickly grew in prominence and advanced the business of voice over through technological innovation, service offerings, and active community building. Positioned as respected industry leaders, the company serves over 250,000 customers worldwide, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500s.

The online marketplace enables people to post a job and then receive responses based upon their specific project requirements such as gender, age range, language, location, budget and deadline. Voices’s unique platform brings together the voice artists and the clients who require their work to conduct business simply and efficiently.

“We made a 100-year-old industry even better, and we are striving to lead it for the next 100 years,” the company’s CEO, David Ciccarelli, said in a statement. “We are marking a decade of success this year, and this momentous event is a testament to our vision when we first wrote down the idea for Voices on a napkin at our kitchen table.”

Job posting #100000 was from Voices Account Manager, Joshua Johnston, who managed a job for a client needing narration for a charity bike ride event video. The event entailed 1,500 cyclists riding across the country to raise $100,000.00 for skin cancer, a fitting job to be posted for this landmark occasion. “As a new member of the Voices team, I was initially oblivious to having been the one responsible for our 100,000th job,” Josh explains. “When I realized what had just occurred, I was honoured that I was a part of such a significant milestone in the history of the company.”

In addition to voice-over recordings for corporate videos, Voices has helped countless organizations find their voice for television and radio commercials, telephone systems, documentaries, audiobooks, podcasts, animated films, video games, talking toys, and more.
