There’s no question that ice cream is the ultimate comfort food. So, in a year when we all needed a little more comfort than usual, creative agency OLIVER channeled themes of community and compassion with their ad campaign for Breyers Ice Cream Canada.

Tasked with creating a series of digital spots for “the number one vanilla brand in Canada,” OLIVER chose to shine a light on the town of Simcoe, where Breyers ice cream is manufactured. After using Voices to put out a casting call for a Canadian female who sounded “confident and understanding, giving a slight motherly vibe,” the team at OLIVER received 81 custom auditions.

The agency found a voice that captured the spirit of togetherness they were looking for in the form of voice actor Christine Cullingworth. Cullingworth’s performance can be heard in three internet videos for Breyers that all sound just as comforting as a scoop of ice cream tastes.
