It is D day demolition day by day, december 13th 1994. That was a sad day in the state of hockey. This good old building behind us has a lot of memories tucked away in the last 27 years, but the building itself will become a memory in just a matter of minutes. With the press of a button, 27 years of hockey history came crumbling to the ground fire. Mhm. But when the dust finally settled, something quite remarkable happened, the building is still standing. Maybe it needed more dynamite, or maybe it was a sign from the hockey gods, a reminder that the hockey spirit in Minnesota is built upon a foundation that can never be destroyed.
