Voices To Sponsor FaffCon 2010 In Portland, Oregon

London, ON | September 08, 2010

FaffCon presents a gathering of inspired minds for voice over talent and voice actors. This unconference allows participants to convene with peers while learning, sharing, and figuring out how to do better in their careers.

Falling in line with National Voice Over Appreciation Month, FaffCon strives to raise awareness not only for spoken word recordings but also for speech therapy and the early development of children’s communication skills.

Voices is proud to be sponsoring FaffCon, an unconference that will bring voice over professionals from the United States and beyond together to learn, collaborate and be inspired. With 50 sessions on the roster, FaffCon will play host to a number of the industry’s movers and shakers, enabling participants to not only take part as attendees but also speakers.

Stephanie Ciccarelli, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Voices, explains “FaffCon will bring the voice over community together in an unprecedented way that is sure to inspire and delight all who attend. Voices is thrilled to be part of their inaugural unconference and privileged to sponsor FaffCon through promotional efforts and prizes.”

FaffCon’s organizer, Amy Snively, shared, “Since FaffCon is so different from any other voice over event, I suspected it might take more time for people to get what we’re doing. For Voices to jump right in and support FaffCon’s pilot event with such a cool door prize is a vote of confidence that means a lot. Someone’s going to be pretty excited when their name is drawn!”

FaffCon has designated an official charity partner, KidTalk: Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics. The organization helps young children communicate. Snively cites that it makes sense for people who talk for a living to reach out to help kids who struggle to do something many take for granted every day.

“People who use their voice for a living can really understand how important communication is. KidTalk: Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics is thrilled to be chosen as FaffCon’s designated charity this year and appreciates the involvement of Voices,” said Karen Aguilera, Executive Director, KidTalk.

FaffCon 2010 will be held at the Hyatt Place Portland Airport/Cascade Station on September 11 and 12 in Portland, Oregon.
