Voices CMO & Co-Founder Named on 17th Annual W100 Ranking of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs

London, ON | May 22, 2015

The Co-Founder and CMO of Voices, Stephanie Ciccarelli, has been ranked for the second time on the 17th annual W100 list of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs, produced by PROFIT and Chatelaine.

For 2015, Stephanie has been ranked #41 of 100 entrepreneurs.

“You need a bold vision, an innovative strategy and loads of tenacity to earn a spot on the W100,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business. “Every person on this list represents the pinnacle of business success in Canada. Their stories are inspiring and instructive for those seeking to excel as an entrepreneur.”

Stephanie created Voices, the online marketplace that connects businesses with over 100,000 international, professional voice-over talent, in 2004 with her husband and fellow co-founder, David Ciccarelli, who serves as CEO of the company. The couple realized a gap in the $26 billion, 100-year-old voice-over industry, and digitized a service that would remove barriers for talent and clients alike at the beginning of the dot com boom. The award-winning company has since grown into a globally-recognized brand, and Stephanie is considered one of the most connected people in the industry.

“Being recognized in this way by PROFIT and Chatelaine is an honour,” says Stephanie. “I heartily congratulate my peers and am humbled to stand beside them, leading and inspiring the next generation of Canadian female entrepreneurs.”

Ranking Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs on a composite score based on the size, growth rate and profitability of their businesses, the W100 profiles the country’s most successful female business owners. Published in the June issue of Canadian Business and online at PROFITguide.com and chatelaine.com, the W100 is Canada’s largest annual celebration of entrepreneurial achievement by women.
