Holladay Productions Gives Voice, Grows Business, and Changes Lives

London, ON | November 18, 2013

An audiobook in the works, a successful, growing production company, and firmly ranked in the top ten, all-time favorite female voices since 2010 on Voices, Lauren Holladay is a voice talent who has carved out an impressive corner of the industry for herself.

After more than 15 years of radio, cheerfully keeping listeners company on their morning drive, Lauren was offered the chance to do radio and television commercials, which was the start of her journey in the voice over industry. Discovering Voices in 2009, she expanded her career to include projects that would allow her to use her skills as a character voice. Experiencing tremendous success with large companies such as Petco, AARP, Humana Hospital and more as the voice of their telephone greetings, IVR and On-Hold messaging, Lauren has also worked with Xerox, Delta Airlines, Neiman Marcus, and Novartis.

In addition to her voice-over work, Lauren Holladay offers copy writing services and full music and sound production. Getting started in voice-over was an adventure. Lauren shares, “The biggest surprise was discovering that I could bring life to e-Learning! I have built a large client base and am very happy to take on the challenge of taking copy that isn’t really exciting and bringing life and vitality to the script.” She is also currently working on her first non-fiction audiobook.

“I recently did nine commercials for a client in Denmark and actually learned some Dutch! That’s one thing I love about being a voice talent. The learning experiences are unending,” Lauren reveals. “Whether it’s a challenging medical narration or a commercial where I get to experiment with a new language, or to give a warm, friendly telephone greeting for a client’s business, the world of voice over is an exciting, challenging and rewarding profession.”

This voice talent powerhouse has also been working independently for Holladay Productions, the studio she runs with her husband, Mark Holladay. There has been so much success that the couple has had to hire another editor. Holladay Productions will be building an additional studio within the year in order to make room for more producers.

Lauren’s business philosophy reveals the key to her success: “My clients are treated with a warm reception and the utmost respect. I am very blessed to be doing this full time for a living. It’s not all about money, but about the people I serve. I serve my clients and do my job with excellence, whether it is for a very small business, a student who needs a YouTube video, a regional or national campaign, or for a global company. Great customer service and respect is what my clients get every time they work with me.”

Lauren was ranked number 1 all-time favourite on Voices this week.
